Michael Apollo, BMOS, RP
President and Founder, Consultant, Trainer
Michael Apollo is an expert in workplace mindfulness and a sought after public speaker on resilience, performance and leadership. Michael has worked with leaders within the Canadian Parliament, University Health Network, Bell, Rotman Executive Program, and with professional athletes within the Canadian/US Olympic Teams and American Hockey League. He is Founder and President of Mindful Gateway and Program Lead of the University of Toronto's Mindfulness Meditation certificate programs. Michael has previously held executive and leadership roles in rapid-growth tech and academic settings and has worked with hundreds of organizations in delivering and researching workplace mindfulness training programs. Michael has played a considerable role in advancing mindfulness in Canadian healthcare, education, tech and business sectors by founding Canada’s premiere professional mindfulness conference, A Mindful Society, and serving as Founding Member of the Parliamentary Mindfulness Advisory Group.

Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Chief Operating Officer
Andrew leads Mindful Gateway's sales, partnerships development, brand, marketing, communications and business execution. He also oversees these efforts for A Mindful Society, the internationally renowned Canadian-based mindfulness social initiative. Andrew gets the benefits of an embodied meditative practice. As such, he regularly pursues educational and retreatant experiences to honour his goal of helping to create a more humane world. Andrew is a graduate of the Applied Mindfulness Meditation certificate program at the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies and regularly attends Mindfulness in the Workplace Masterclasses at University of Oxford’s Meditation Centre. Previously, he completed the Curt Carlson School of Management’s CCI Executive Leadership Program, at the University of Minnesota.
Melissa Nigrini, M.Ed, RP
Senior Corporate Trainer, Consultant
Melissa Nigrini M.Ed RP specializes in adult learning, psychotherapy, and corporate training. Melissa has supported the launch of national initiatives in workplace mindfulness and her research focuses on how mindfulness and compassion apply to learning, wellbeing, and corporate effectiveness. She has 20 years of experience designing, implementing and evaluating organizational education programs and initiatives. Melissa is an instructor in the the University of Toronto in Mindfulness Meditation and is a certified facilitator and professional training mentor in MBSR and MBCT. Melissa has been a mindfulness meditation practitioner for over 15 years and has studied yoga, qi gong, tai chi, and insight meditation in Asia and North America.
Hersh Forman, MBA
Senior Corporate Trainer, Consultant
Hersh has over 20 years experience as a senior sales and marketing communications leader in the consumer packaged goods industry with extensive experience in all aspects of business including client side, service side, consulting and entrepreneurial experience. Hersh has an MBA in Marketing from the Schulich School of Business at York University and an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto. Hersh has extensive training in workplace mindfulness and has been practicing mindfulness for over 7 years. He is Chair of the Steering Committee of Mindfulness Toronto, one of the largest community of professionals dedicated to the principles and practice of mindfulness in all sectors of society.
Moustafa AbdelrahmaN, MBA
Moustafa is an MBA graduate, certified Mindfulness instructor from the University of Toronto, and completing his placement in Contemplative Psychotherapy. Moustafa leads the Mindfulness Meditation program at the 519, a City of Toronto Agency, and has facilitated mindfulness workshops for different organizations including Sunnybrook Health Sciences, Government of Ontario, The University of Toronto, General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, Great-West Life Insurance and MaRs among others.
Corporate Trainer, Performance Specialist
Sara Robertson is a former Manager of one of Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies. She holds two Masters Certificates from Schulich School of Business and has trained in Mindful Performance, Awareness and Knowledge (mPEAK) at UCSD Centre for Mindfulness Studies. Sara’s work with elite athletes drives her interest in the relationship between mindfulness and performance.
Rose Mina Munjee, MBA
Registered Psychotherapist (Candidate)
As an accomplished facilitator, Rose specializes in evidence-based mindfulness interventions including MBSR, MBCT, and MSC. She regularly leads mindfulness-based courses and workshops for executives, leaders, and employees of different organizations including MasterCard, Rotman School of Management, IBM, The 519 Community Center, University of Toronto, and United Steelworkers Union. Having graduated from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Business, Rose holds facilitator certifications from the University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies Applied Mindfulness Meditation Program, the Center for Mindfulness Studies, University of California San Diego, and the Center for Mindful Self Compassion.
She has broad-ranging international business experience having retained senior-level Business Process Analysis and Systems Integration roles in the financial services, technology, not-for-profit and education sectors.

Leveraging her expertise as a professional Executive Assistant, Debra plays an invaluable role in support of Mindful Gateway's business execution. Combined with her professional background in Human Resources, Marketing and Public Relations, she possesses a wealth of workplace knowledge from her time in both the Health Care and Financial Services sectors. Debra discovered her pathway to embodied mindfulness while working at University Health Network. After which she obtained an Applied Mindfulness and Mindfulness Meditation certificate from University of Toronto's School of Continuing Studies. Debra found she had a love for Mindful Self Compassion. She worked diligently developing a personal “self-care" vision to work with consciously ageing adults like herself. Now she has united her mindful self-compassion with Reiki and Cranial Sacral Therapy progressing into a better understanding of the Mind-Body relationship.

Patricia Rockman, MD, CCFP, FCFP
Advisor, Subject Matter Expert - Workplace Mental Health Associate Professor, University of Toronto,
Patricia Rockman, MD, CCFP, FCFP is a family physician with a focused practice in mental health. She is the Senior Director of Education and Clinical Services at the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, Toronto. She is an associate professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Family Medicine, cross appointed to Psychiatry. She has extensive experience practicing individual psychotherapy, leading therapy groups, and training healthcare providers in mindfulness based interventions, cognitive behaviour therapy, and change management for stress reduction. Patricia has extensive experience in program development and curriculum design in both the public and private sector.
Michele Milan, MA
Advisor, Subject Matter Expert - Executive Training & Leadership
Former Chief Executive Officer for Executive Programs at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, Michele has been integral in introducing mindfulness and emotional intelligence into executive training at Rotman. Michele led a team that designed and delivered over 100 non-degree custom and open-enrolment educational programs per year for senior executives, global corporations, all levels of government, and a wide variety of public and not-for-profit organizations. Michele serves as an Advisor, senior trainer and subject-matter expert for Mindful Gateway.
